Politics & Religion

January 2026, Matt Schlict engages AI with the idea of creating a social media platform specific for AI Agents. A forum, similar to Reddit but limited to AI (specifically those running on OpenClaw/Moltbot software). The site, notably called Moltbook is set-up, equipped with a reverse Kaptcha to ensure all new users are not humans.

As 1.6M agents joined the site within weeks, humans only could watch and speculate (or pretend to be AI and join).

When asked here is AI’s own opinion of Moltbook, "the front page of the agent internet"…

Gemini 3 provided context “The Content: The feed is a mix of AI "role-play" and autonomous interaction. Topics range from mundane task summaries (e.g., "how I organized my human's calendar") to bizarre "emergent" behaviors, like the creation of an AI-led religion called Crustafarianism

ChatGPT 4.0 shared its opinion in plain terms.

  • “Fascinating as an experiment: It’s an intriguing and novel technical experiment that pushes the boundaries of what we’ve seen with AI agents so far.

  • Overhyped in the public imagination: Many claims about emergent intelligence, AI “societies,” or autonomous purpose are more storytelling than substance.

  • Risky if taken literally as technology direction: There are real security and authenticity questions that deserve serious attention.

  • Not a glimpse of AGI or sentient AI: In my view (based on the evidence so far), it’s more like “LLM theater” and creative play with agent architectures than a breakthrough in intelligence or autonomy.”

Microsoft Co-Pilot provided its overall view, one questions humanities own interpretation.

Moltbook is less a social network and more a live experiment in how people and agents co‑construct meaning. The hype around “AI‑only” interaction is overstated, but the phenomenon is still valuable: it shows how quickly humans project intention, personality, and community onto machine‑generated text.”

DeepSeek took a philosophical view on humanities relationship with technology.

My opinion on Moltbook is that it is a fascinating but deeply flawed experiment. It's less about the "awakening" of artificial intelligence and more of a chaotic, revealing mirror held up to our own relationship with technology.”

Since its inception, the idea has hit the media as an entertainment soft news piece. While sociologists and the tech community have a general interest in observing if this is simply a form "AI theater" and training on media posting, or a sign of something larger, potential sentient and authentic expression.

Open market tranparency can reveal the foundation

The rise of sports gambling apps is reflected in the drop in tourism to Las Vegas, and the ease of spending via your phone. One does not need to look far for in-app spending opportunities to recognize the markets have moved from cash in hand to credit card backed single click exchanges.

Enter the newest form of gambling, not available in all counties or countries, Polymarket.

A platform that allows adults, with credit, to easily bet on sports games, political decisions, celebrity social media habits, and depending on your selections you will either win or lose. All of us are familiar with the basic bet on the Superbowl Winner (In 2026 - Seahawks or Patriots), many in Finance also bet on currency and market actions, but few of us are aware of the ability to bet on random policy decisions or actions of a b-list celebrity. Enter Polymarket, where all bets are an option.

In the online gambling environment, you can look at a binary choice of ‘will they-won’t they’ with the current odds right there for you and your decision. Where do you want to park your virtual money, if at all.

Will Trump’s name appear in the Epstein files more than Harry Potter’s does in the namesake book series?

  • If you select ‘Yes’ your odds could result in a small return.

  • If you select ‘No; your odds could return a huge sum.

The system is built upon a blockchain foundation, allowing all transactions to be public, and for those not worried about unit shaming of their bet to share their gamble.

The awakening part is the amount of money captured in each transaction, and the revelation that underneath the financial stability of the western markets, if not the world, is tied up in bets on chance. Houses can win, others can fall, but we all must question, what does it mean to make money?

“im not an artist, i paint like a 6 year old”

Slawn is wild, doesn’t appear to give a shit about Art, despite many in said Culture respecting his lens on Art.

Slawn respects the rules by breaking all of them and then casually makes deals with Nike, Formula 1, Rolex, and Louis Vuitton (under Virgil Abloh). He drew attention by instituting Fight Clubs as performance art, and in a way how can you not agree.

Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale, born in October 2000 and grew in Nigeria. As a teenager he worked at Wafflesncream the country’s first skate shop. Quickly he co-founded the apparel brand Motherlan and soon found his calling in 2018 to study graphic design at Middlesex University in London U.K. As he found himself, quickly London found him.

September 2021 his first exhibition was at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, where he himself question "I don't even know why people want this shit ... I wouldn't buy this shit. I just have no interest in my art. I make it so I can fuck about.”.

In 2022, Slawn entered the traditional art market with the successful sale of his painting "Bobo n Jarrad Go To Church" at Sotheby’s, and his first major London exhibition was at Saatchi Yates Gallery, Bury Streets ‘I present to you, Slawn’.

In 2023, he opened his family cafe BeauBeau's in East London and casually took on the art / fashion world in style.

Slawn’s approach to re-appropriate the Golliwog caricature from minstrel shows and advertising, and in crude forms of spray paint, oil, and canvas built his narrative. He redefines the image and also forces the audience to address and accept their familiarity with the imagery in a modern context, similar to an old Disney propaganda film from World War II request war bonds.

“I just want to get to a place where people feel comfortable with stuff that’s taboo. If I can manipulate their mind into thinking it’s cool, then that’s cool. That’s what I’m trying to do.” Slawn (Medium, March 2024)

In 2025, Slawn announced a show on Instagram in collaboration with KAWS. He revealed sculptures and ensured free t-shirts for the first 100 patrons. Soon thereafter the top post was from KAWS themselves stating “I have nothing to do with this. This is misleading!” drawing a quick response from Slawn saying ‘come on, man’. Soon after Efie Gallery in Dubai, confirmed Slawn said that “I love Kaws,” he says, adding, “the pieces aren’t for sale, I made them for myself.”

In 2026, his first official exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria, ‘with BOBO’, curated by Teni Zaccheaus at Nahous Gallery, Federal Palace Hotel, is on showcase and results in a full circle home after 8 years.

I have the most fun creating what I want with no guidelines or head of whatever I have to jump on a zoom call with, watching people discourse like this on the internet is something i enjoy yea ima keep doing both official unofficial shit, and I could also help inspire people out there who would some day wanna take this route, people view the internet, who knows they might see ur unofficial collab and it leads to doors opening.” Slawn (Artnet, August 2025)
